Warranty

Warranty coverage is set by each manufacturer and varies by brand and product. This page summarizes those warranties by brand so you know what to expect before you buy. The manufacturer's written warranty, included in the owner's manual shipped with your product, is the governing document; where this summary and the manual differ, the manual applies.

Golden Designs, Dynamic Saunas & Maxxus saunas

Golden Designs, Inc. manufactures and warrants the Golden Designs, Dynamic and Maxxus sauna lines.

Infrared saunas (Dynamic, Maxxus, Golden Designs PureTech™)

5 years on the wood structure (when properly maintained), control panel, wiring harnesses, heating panels and lights, from the date of purchase.
Covers replacement parts. Labor is not included.

Traditional and hybrid saunas (Golden Designs indoor, outdoor and barrel models)

5 years on the wood structure (when properly maintained), control panel, wiring harnesses and lights, from the date of purchase.
Exception, flat-roof outdoor models (Arlberg, Vorarlberg, Carinthia, Gargellen): 5 years on the electronics and 1 year on the wood structure, per the manufacturer's specification.
The stove/heater is covered separately by its own manufacturer's warranty (Harvia stoves on most models). Per the supplier's dealer catalog, that stove warranty is 1 year; the stove manual shipped with your sauna states the exact terms.
Covers replacement parts. Labor is not included.

What the Golden Designs warranty requires and excludes

Applies to the original purchaser at the original installation address, for units delivered in the contiguous United States or Canada. It ends on transfer of ownership or relocation of the sauna.
Residential use. Full commercial use voids the warranty.
Not covered: damage from unauthorized repairs or modifications, improper installation, misuse, use of lacquer or paint, placing the unit on non-approved surfaces, or exposing a model not designed for direct weather to rain, snow, sun or extreme temperatures. Normal weathering and wear are excluded.
Minor surface cracks from wood expansion and contraction are a normal characteristic of kiln-dried wood and are not considered defects. Water seepage on outdoor barrel models is normal and does not harm the wood.
Defective parts may need to be returned to the manufacturer for inspection; shipping on returned parts is the customer's responsibility. Keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase, and do not remove the serial number.

Dynamic Cold Therapy (DCT)

Cold plunge tubs, barrel tubs, inflatable spas, chillers and cold/heat systems: 1 year from the date of purchase.
Insulated tub covers and neoprene hose covers: 90 days.
Replacement filter packs: no warranty (consumable).

Other brands

Pilates equipment, red light devices, rowers and other products from our partner brands are covered by each brand's own manufacturer warranty. Where we have the brand's terms confirmed in writing, they are listed in that product's Specifications. If a product page does not list a warranty term, contact us before ordering and we will confirm it with the manufacturer for you.

How to make a warranty claim

Inspect your delivery on arrival. Note any minor damage (scuffs, small dents to the cartons) on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing; refuse delivery if there is major damage such as punctures through the packaging into the product, and a replacement will be arranged. Shipping damage is handled as a freight claim, separately from the manufacturer warranty, so contact us as soon as you find it, including damage discovered after unpacking.

We open the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and coordinate replacement parts. Most manufacturers ship parts directly to you with instructions; the manufacturer determines coverage under its warranty terms.

Returns

Warranty coverage is separate from our return policy. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unused, uninstalled items and are subject to a 25% restocking fee plus shipping; made-to-order and final-sale items are not returnable; full details are in our Refund Policy.
